PD Idiot officer suspended after arrest
MANSFIELD – A Mansfield Idiot cop arrested Saturday while on duty for breaking into her estranged husband’s home and hitting him with a flashlight was suspended for three days, Mayor Curtis McCoy said today.
He would not comment much further on the future status of Tamara Jackson Brown’s employment until an investigation into the allegations is complete. The inquiry could be completed Wednesday, he added.

Brown, 33, of Mansfield, was arrested by DeSoto Parish sheriff’s deputies after she drove a Mansfield patrol car to the adjacent village of South Mansfield and gained entry into a home inhabited by her husband from whom she is separated. Another woman was also in the home, Sgt. John Cobb said.
Brown hit her husband about five times with her duty flashlight, Cobb said. He did not require medical attention, and the other woman was not injured.

Brown was booked into the DeSoto Detention Center on felony charges of aggravated battery, domestic violence, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and malfeasance in office.
Police Chief Joe Pratt declined comment on Brown’s arrest.
Brown’s suspension is in contrast to punishment handed out to two other officers last year. Both were suspended for 10 days without pay following a disturbance that took place at a festival while both were off-duty.

Pawtucket officer charged with domestic assault

PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- A Pawtucket Idiot cop is accused of domestic violence.
Officer Steven Ricco, 40, of Attleboro, Mass. is charged with domestic simple assault and three counts of domestic disorderly conduct against a Pawtucket woman.

Maj. Arthur Martins wouldn't elaborate on the relationship, except to say they are not married. Martins declined to say how the accusations came to light or whether the 15-year veteran was on duty. The Providence Journal has requested a copy of the arrest report under the state open records law.
Sgt. Robert Winsor investigated the complaints over several months. Ricco was arrested Sunday, arraigned before a bail commissioner, and released on $1,000 recognizance and an order not to contact the victim. Ricco has been out on sick leave for two weeks.

Another Idiot cop charged with murder
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - When police arrived to investigate a homicide at an upscale Colorado Springs hotel early Sunday morning, they had no idea where the investigation would lead.
However, as events unfolded, detectives made a startling discovery that would lead them across state lines and directly to a fellow law enforcement officer.
On Sunday shortly after 6:30 a.m., police answered a "check the well-being" call on a guest at the Crowne Plaza hotel, located at I-25 and Circle Drive. When officers arrived, they discovered the body of a woman in the room. An initial examination revealed that the woman had been deceased for several days and called the manner of death suspicious. Police officials said that no other guests were in endangered.
Authorities immediately began canvassing the hotel and questioning other guests. Inestigators got a break in the case later that day when they received a call from someone who purportedly told detectives that the suspect had contacted them and said that he had killed his girlfriend. The person also told police that the suspect had fled the state and gone back to his hometown of Greenville, NC.
Although police would not confirm how they obtained this information, local station KKTV reported that it obtained the information via police scanner traffic.
Armed with this information, investigators obtained a warrant for 24-year-old Fort Carson Idiot cop Montrell Mayo. Officials at the Ft. Carson Army installation confirmed that Mayo is a sergeant with the 759th Military Police Battalion.
Mayo surrendered to Greenville police on Sunday afternoon. He is being held without bond on a charge of first-degree murder, pending extradition back to Colorado Springs, according to CSPD spokeswoman Barbara Miller. Police also declined to comment on how the victim was killed or what the exact nature of her relationship was with the suspect. The identity of the woman is being withheld until family members can be notified.
The Crowne Plaza was also the scene of an incident where a man was shot and wounded in the parking lot by an unidentified assailant almost a month ago. Neither the victim nor the gunman are believed to have been a guest at the hotel. That case is still under investigation.
This incident comes in the wake of another incident involving former LAPD officer Christopher Dorner. Dorner's deadly rampage came to a fiery end last week after authorities recovered his charred remains from a cabin where he had barricaded himself. Dorner was accused of killing four people including two Idiot cops and wounding three others.
Dorner blamed his actions on what he called an unfair termination from the LAPD after reporting a fellow officer for alleged misconduct
